Victor Ventura’s love for soccer began on the streets of Peru. Growing up, soccer was everything.
“You got to play in the rain, on gravel, no shoes, and with whatever ball you could find at home or in the streets.”
Those carefree evenings after school, building teams with friends, left an indelible mark on him. Soccer was more than a sport—it was joy, community, and resilience.
A New Beginning in Canada
At 19, Victor moved to Canada to start a new chapter. But the transition wasn’t easy.
“I had no friends, no English, and it was super cold. Loneliness hit.”
In those difficult moments, it was soccer that gave him hope. Victor began dreaming, not just of playing the game, but of creating something bigger—a team.
He envisioned a team that would unite people from different cultures and backgrounds, a team that would share a passion for soccer and evoke memories of home for its players.
The Birth of Union America
In 2022, Victor’s dream became reality with the founding of Union America, a soccer team built on passion, motivation, and diversity.

The team reflects his vision: players from different countries, coming together to play the sport they love while honoring their roots.
For Victor, Union America is more than a team—it’s a bridge between past and present, a way to relive cherished memories from Peru while creating new ones in Canada.
